Frequently Asked Questions
How do I prompt?
To plan the perfect meetup with your friends, CalendAIr just needs to know two simple things: When you'd like to meet (e.g. "friday in the next 2 weeks") and how long you want to hang out (e.g. "for two hours").
Need some inspiration?
- Find a dinner slot for me and Jack on a friday next month for about two hours.
- I want to grab a coffee with Jacky this week between 2 and 3 pm.
Does the AI have access to my calendar?
No. The AI only interprets the text you type (for example “friday afternoon next week”) and turns it into time windows. It never receives details from your calendar. Finding the free slots is done by CalendAIr itself, using only the free/busy times of your existing events. We do not store the titles, notes, locations or attendee lists of those events. Meetings you create in CalendAIr are stored, because we have to show them to the people you invite and create the events in your calendar.
What is the minimum CalendAIr needs?
Three things, and no more:
- From your sign-in: email address and name. If you sign in with Apple and hide your address, we only get Apple's relay address.
- From your calendar: when your events start and end. Titles, notes, locations and attendee lists do come along when we fetch them, but we do not store them.
- An invite code to connect you with someone.
Everything else only appears through use: the meetings you create, a push token if you allow notifications, your subscription status if you buy Premium. Analytics and ads run only with your consent, and the app stays fully usable without them.
Where is my data stored?
Our servers are in the EU, specifically in Frankfurt am Main (Amazon Web Services). That is where your account, your connections and the meetings you create live.
Some features necessarily run through the providers behind them and may be processed outside the EU: calendar access through Google, Microsoft or Apple, the time suggestions through Google Gemini, push notifications through Google and Apple, ads through Google. Exactly what is transmitted, and what we rely on for it, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
How can I connect with friends?
To connect with your friends, go to the „Friends“ tab and click the button „Connect with Friend“. Here you can either generate a code for a friend and send it to them. Or if you have received a code you can insert it in the „Invite Code“ field and start your first meetup with CalendAIr.
Is the app free?
Yes, CalendAIr is free to use. As a free user you get 20 prompts per month, one connected calendar and one invitee per meeting and the app shows ads. Premium removes the prompt limit and raises the calendar and invitee limits. The current price and duration are shown in the App Store or Google Play before you buy.
What do 20 free prompts mean?
Every prompt is one request you send to CalendAIr to find a slot. Free users get 20 per month; with Premium there is no prompt limit.
When will the prompt limit be reset?
The prompt limit resets every 30 days. You then have 20 new prompts.
How can I delete my profile?
We are sad to see you go! Your profile can be deleted on your profile page and you can also request deletion without the app via Delete your account. Please remember two things: Meetings with your friends, that are already in your calendar, won’t be removed from your calendar by deleting your account. We also don’t have access to your Android or Apple subscriptions. If you have a premium account you have to end your subscription in your phone settings.
How can I remove a friend?
To remove a friend, go to the friends tap in CalendAIr and click on the three buttons next to the friend you want to remove. By choosing “remove connection” your friend is disconnected and can no longer send meeting requests to you.
How can I disconnect or add a calendar?
Go to your profile in the app to manage your calendars.
Why do I have to connect my Google Calendar again if I already registered via Google?
Signing up with Google only helps us create your CalendAIr account quickly and securely. Connecting your Google Calendar is a separate step. CalendAIr is designed to give you as much freedom and control as possible.
That’s why we never access your calendar unless you explicitly allow it.
You decide if and when you want to connect your calendar and you can revoke access anytime in your profile.
